Performing arts:
Immense physical
energy, intellectual and imaginative daring, liberal
sprinkling of talent -- that is the amalgam we achieve when
students are presented with avenues to display their latent
talents. We are probably one of the rare schools, if not the
only one, where each child participates in the annual show
wherein we present musicals like
Jesus Christ Superstar, My
Fair Lady, Beauty and the Beast, Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The students also combine performance with service and
present street plays on a variety of public awareness issues
from Traffic rules to AIDS. The school holds biannual dance
workshops in collaboration with the
Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts.
The students learn the intricacies of Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop
and so on and present a show as the grand finale of each
workshop.
The musical talents of our students can be seen in our
annual orchestra presentation titled
Steppies in Symphony.
Besides these there are several opportunities for students
to pit themselves against competitors in inter- school and
intramural activities. |
